This Phillyrea yamadori shows all the characteristics needed to become a very high-level bonsai. The important trunk is characterized by a great conicity and a vast nebari, measuring a whopping 30 cm. The primary ramification, built up over the years, is starting to display good diameters. From now on, it is important to adopt a cultivation strategy aimed at creating peripheral branching and thickening of the foliage pads. The photos date back to August 2022, with the bonsai showing a certain level of definition even wothout wire.
