Black pine yamadori bonsai. The bark of this specimen surely testimonies its old age. TThe compactness of the root system, after years of cultivation in pots, allows the bonsai to enjoy great vigour despite the very small pot size. The well-articulated branching allows for good pads development. Future work involves increasing branch density. The photos were taken in May 2023
